Landscape Bolivia

Bolivia has a huge variety of cultural and geographical possibilities for the traveller. Bolivia borders Paraguay and Argentina to the South East and is a little smaller than Peru. Both countries lie in the tropics. After the Himalayas the Andes is the largest mountain chain in the world, it cuts through Peru and Bolivia from north to south. Geographically, Bolivia can be divided into five regions, of which we will mainly be travelling on the 'Altiplano'. This means 'high plain', but despite its name the Altiplano is far from plain; the Cordillera Real and the Cordillera Occidental have peaks as high as 6542 m.
