Botswana tours

A Botswana tour is without doubt a unique experience and a great pleasure for nature and animal lovers. Botswana is located in southern Africa and is known for its beautiful nature, with wetlands and desert. Botswana lies between South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Namibia and due to the Kalahari Desert, is one of the most sparsely populated areas in the world.

Botswana is an ideal safari destination. Chobe National Park is approximately 11,700 square kilometers and is home to tens of thousands of elephants. This park alone makes travel to Botswana well worthwhile. In the Chobe National Park you can include a sunset cruise to search for herds of elephants and other wildlife. In the Okavango Delta, the largest inland delta in the world, they have plenty of giraffes, impalas, zebras, elephants, baboons, crocodiles, hippos, leopards, hyenas, hundreds of species of birds and other exotic animals. A mokoro trip across the water can form part of your Botswana tour, as can an adventurous hike.

Victoria Falls is not to be missed if you travel through Botswana. The Zambezi River is about two kilometers in width with a free fall of about one hundred meters. You can probably imagine how impressive a sight this is. Want more adventure? Then make a canoe safari on the Zambezi River where there is a big chance that you come face to face with crocodiles and hippos!

The Kalahari Desert, Chobe National Park and the Okavango Delta, make a Botswana tour thoroughly rewarding as you will undoubtedly enjoy all of these beautiful places. Never a dull moment on one of Shoestrings Botswana tours!
