Cambodia group tours

Join Shoestring for one of our Cambodia group tours. Cambodia has suffered under its recent past but since the 90s it has grown into one of the most popular tourist destinations in Southeast-Asia. Playing a big part in this popularity is one of the
Architectural Wonders of the World, the magical Angkor Wat.

Together with Vietnam and Laos, the kingdom of Cambodia was part of the so called Indochina. The population is friendly and they speak the Khmer language. In the tourist areas, people speak English well enough for you to move around easily. Angkor Wat is the biggest temple complex of Southeast-Asia. Our group travels through Cambodia use the city of Siem Reap as the starting point for discovering this impressive area. Take your time to get to know this World Wonder.

The dynamic capital Phnom Penh is packed with markets, mosques, temples and museums. And no less important, the night life is vibrant and the food served in the restaurants on the banks of the Mekong and at the many night markets is extremely tasty. In Phnom Penh you’ll also find the reminders of the dark history of Cambodia, whilst on this group tour. The museum of Tuol Sleng and the Killing Fields just outside the capital give you an impression of the terror during the reign of the Red Khmer.

The hustle and bustle of the city is contrasted by the many rustic places like the amazing beaches of Koh Kong and Sihanoukville. Enjoy the peace and quiet and the lovely sunshine or visit one of the fabulous islands in the Gulf of Thailand!

Discover the culture and scenery of this diverse country during one of our Cambodia group tours.
