During your trip, it is possible to participate in 'single' excursions offered locally by the tour leader. These excursions are optional. To allow you to plan a budget for your trip we have provided you with an idea of the cost of these excursions. The price can change due to currency fluctuations. The amounts are therefore only meant to give you an indication of the cost. Entrance fees will often change and therefore are excluded from the prices displayed (unless explicitly stated). We display the prices in Euros/GB Pounds/US Dollars. When you are in your destination, it is possible to pay for the excursions in local currency.

Single excursions

Below is a list of locally offered excursions. The prices are based on the participation of at least 6 participants, and based on prices in U.S. dollars and Cambodian Riel (due to exchange rates the price can sometimes change). Entry fees are exclusive (unless explicitly stated). During holidays (eg New Year) the prices can be increased.

Phnom Penh - Sightseeing

After breakfast you'll be picked up at the hotel for a sightseeing tour of the Cambodian capital. Your tour starts with a visit to the Royal Palace, built in 1866 under King Norodom. The Silver Pagoda on the complex terrain, is named after the floor and is covered with approximately 5000 silver tiles..

The next stop is the National Museum, where a large number of artifacts from the Angkor period are displayed. The lunch takes place in the "Friends Restaurant". Disadvantaged street children get the chance to gain experience, and thus a chance for a better future. The revenues go directly to activities of their training.
The afternoon is devoted to the macabre history of Cambodia, at the time of Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge. You visit Choeng Ek, the site of the notorious 'Killing Fields'. The Tuol Sleng prison is on the program. Then you are taken back to your hotel.

Siem Reap - Angkor Heritage

In the morning you'll be picked up and taken by minibus to the temples of Angkor. The program includes the South Gate of Angkor Thom and the temples of Angkor, Baphoun, Phimean Akas, The Royal Enclosure, the Elephants and Terrace of the Leper King. Take your lunch in a local restaurant near the famous Angkor Wat.
After lunch continue your discovery journey through the overgrown temples and visit the famous Angkor Wat. At the end of the day you reach Bakheng Hill to enjoy a beautiful sunset. You will then be returned to your hotel.

Siem Reap - Sunset on the Tonle Sap lake

You will be collected by car/bus from your hotel in Siem Reap and driven to the Tonle Sap Lake. We stop in a village, where you will ride on a bullock cart. As you bump along you see the locals going about their daily business. You visit Kneas Chong, the famous 'floating village' on the Tonle Sap Lake, where the life of the population has existed for centuries. Many residents make a living from fishing in the lake, where there live about 300 different species! There are also many water birds on the water and the wetlands of the Great Lake. You make a boat trip around sunset on the water and then go back to your hotel in Siem Reap.
