We can imagine that you may wonder whether this will have consequences for your trip. The following points have been made known:
-The Grand Palace in Bangkok will be closed to the public up to and including October 20th.
-Throughout the country hotels, restaurants and entertainment venues remain open but in a more subdued manner.
-All planned festivities will be cancelled up to 30 days after the date of the King’s passing.
-Passengers are asked to behave respectfully in public places and to wear "appropriate" clothing (i.e. not too exposed, too short, too brash etc.).
We currently expect that your trip will be carried out as planned. It is unclear at present, what the consequences of the death of the king may be for the Loy Kratong Festival on November 14. If there are any changes then we will of course keep you informed.
